Program Overview

The Associated General Contractors of Colorado created the Construction Career Connection program to provide information to high school guidance counselors and teachers regarding all of the different construction career pathways in the Denver area – and ultimately recruit high school students into a rewarding career in Construction in Colorado.

The program utilizes volunteer navigator teams (consisting of a general contractor representative, subcontractor representative and supplier representative) that will have interaction with participating high schools and serve as guides to a wealth of great information and career opportunities in the construction industry. Our navigator teams will provide interested students with hands-on opportunities, job site tours and more.

The program began with a roll out in the 2017-2018 academic year with 11 schools and expansion is planned for the 2018-2019 academic year with the addition of up to 11 more schools.
